New Spring Menu Arrives

Our Chefs have put together a new, fresh, and flavorful spring menu. We’ve streamlined our offerings to bring you the best in flavor and quality.

Breakfast and Brunch have some delicious omelet offerings: the Green Omelet has quickly become a fave with fresh spinach, egg whites, roasted tomatoes and goat cheese.  On the filling side: our new Ranch Eggs: two sunny side up eggs on crispy tortillas served on stewed black beans with cheddar cheese, sour cream and ranchero salsa. Try the new Philly Muffin Breakfast Sandwich: two fried eggs, American cheese (you can add bacon or sausage) served on a fresh Philly Bread Co. Philly Muffin.

Fro lunch, dinner and in-between we’ve added shareable small plates like a cheese board and grilled vegetable board but don’t miss the fried pickles with spicy mayo. Our entrees include Crab Cakes, Sesame Salmon, and a tender Steak Frites. We still have a variety of juicy burgers, our Colorado Chicken Sandwich and a Crab Cake Sandwich all served on Philly Bread Co. breads.

New craft cocktails and updated wine and beer selections are also available.

Give people plenty of ways to RSVP

Planning for an unknown number of guests can be stressful. Do you have enough food or will you be eating mini-meatballs for a month? Give your invitees plenty of ways to RSVP so you can get an accurate count. Create a Facebook event, send an Evite, and give people a phone number or email they can use to respond. Don’t feel like you’re bugging people if you send reminders;  people know you’re just trying to plan for everyone to have a great time.

Keep it simple

Most graduation parties are a mix of friends and family, kids and adults. Keep the food simple and easy so it’s quick to serve and enjoy. There’s always some guests who have multiple parties to attend so having food that can stay warm or cold for awhile and is easy to grab keeps everyone fed. Consider a combination of hot and cold platters – pulled pork or hot roast beef sandwiches and undressed gourmet salads with a variety of traditional sides. Pasta dishes are an easy way to satisfy vegetarians and meat-eaters alike.

Cover Up

Renting a tent, tables and chairs might add to your budget but you’ll be safe and dry if the weather turns wet and not worried if Aunt Margaret can get out of that beach chair at the end of the day.

Best of Manayunk picks Winnie’s! has once again honored all the great people and businesses in Manayunk with the Best of Awards. A combination of public voting and editor picks decides who gets top honors in categories from best places to shop, eat, visit, work out, and take your pets.

This year, Winnie’s Manayunk won Best Al Fresco Dining for our wonderful outdoor seating area in the heart of Manayunk. The judges said, “On a bright spring day or crisp fall afternoon, there’s nothing better than sitting outside eating brunch or dinner at Winnie’s. People watching is always a welcome activity and you’ll be sure to see a face you know walking by while you dine. Though the spring and summer are prime al fresco dining months, Winnie’s also installed outdoor heaters so you can enjoy al fresco dining well into the late fall.”

Winnie’s also received Honorable mention for Best Brunch Menu – a challenging category in a very brunch friendly town!

A highlight for our team was winning Best Server and honorable mention for Best Bartender. Lisa Miller welcomes our guests like they are all family whether it’s their first visit or their 100th. Speaking of family, Winnie’s “kid sister,” Tara Murphy, earned honorable mention for Best Bartender keeping our brunch crowd happy with tasty mimosas and Bloody Marys. The Fall Menu has arrived!

Keeping with our promise to offer fresh, locally sourced dishes that reflect the seasons, Winnie’s has delivered once again with the new Fall menu. Delicious offerings have been added to all our menus – even cocktails!

Try the vegetarian Stuffed Acorn Squash, Harvest Chicken, or Sesame Crusted Salmon Filet. Our house-made Pumpkin Infused Vodka makes for a killer martini and you can finish off the meal with Warm Apple Cobbler with Ice Cream.
